Role Overview

The Assistant Analytics Manager will be responsible for delivering high-quality Power BI reporting and analytics that guide business decisions. This role acts as a bridge between business teams and analytics delivery, converting needs into scalable solutions across the Microsoft, Azure, and Databricks environment.

The right candidate will bring 5+ years of analytics experience, advanced SQL capability, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to create clear dashboards that support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, update, and support Power BI dashboards and reports that turn complex data into practical insights.
• Develop efficient data models using DAX and Power Query, with attention to accuracy, speed, and scalability.
• Follow strong visualization, user experience, and KPI standardization practices.
• Own the lifecycle of Power BI reports, including improvements, performance tuning, and governance.
• Study large and complex datasets to identify patterns, opportunities, and meaningful business trends.
• Prepare, clean, transform, and validate information using SQL and Databricks tools such as Spark SQL and PySpark.
• Maintain data quality and consistency across multiple data sources, including reconciliation checks.
• Work closely with data engineering teams to define metrics, semantic layers, and data structures.
• Use Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, and Power BI Service in day-to-day analytics work.
• Leverage the Microsoft data stack, including Azure SQL, SQL Server, and Excel, for analysis and validation.
• Help maintain governance, security, and access controls within Azure and Power BI environments.
• Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, eCommerce, and other functions.
• Convert business needs into scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
• Present findings, recommendations, and dashboards to senior leaders and other stakeholders.
• Manage priorities, timelines, and expectations across several concurrent initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in analytics, BI, or a closely related data role.
• Strong SQL skills for extracting, transforming, and analyzing data.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, data modelling, and Power BI Service.
• Experience working with Databricks and processing large datasets.
• Good understanding of Azure data architecture, including ADLS, Synapse, and Azure SQL.
• Demonstrated ability to build dashboards and reports for executive audiences.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect insights with business outcomes.
