About the internship
Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance (SUD Life) is offering a remote, part-time business development internship focused on sales. The company was established in 2009 as a joint venture between Bank of India, Union Bank of India, and Dai-ichi Life Holdings of Japan. It operates through a wide banking network of more than 17,000 branches and serves over 9.2 million customers, with access to 1,950+ regional rural bank branches that help extend life insurance offerings into rural markets.
Role overview
The selected intern will contribute to sales outreach, lead handling, customer engagement, and pipeline support. The role includes prospecting, presenting product value, managing follow-ups, and assisting with deal closure while maintaining accurate records in CRM systems.
Key responsibilities
- Find new prospects through cold calls, email outreach, and social networking.
- Introduce the product and explain service benefits through tailored pitches, demos, or presentations.
- Respond to concerns and objections, then guide interested prospects toward purchase decisions.
- Keep the CRM and customer database updated, including lead status and interaction history.
- Study competitors, market shifts, and customer feedback to refine sales messaging.
- Follow up on warm leads, negotiate where needed, and support senior team members in closing larger deals.
Who can apply
This internship is open only to candidates who can work from home, are available to begin between 9 June 2026 and 14 July 2026, and can commit to a 6-month duration. Applicants should have relevant skills and genuine interest in the role. Women looking to begin or restart their careers are also encouraged to apply.
Other requirements
- Ability to state ideas clearly, qualify leads quickly, ask for next steps, and follow up persistently.
- Strong strategic thinking, including the ability to break down territory management and connect results to the company’s objectives.
- Empathy and active listening, with a focus on understanding customer pain points rather than only selling.
Compensation and perks
The internship offers a stipend of ₹14,000 to ₹38,000 per month. The pay structure includes a fixed component of ₹4,000 to ₹8,000 per month and an incentive component of ₹10,000 to ₹30,000 per month. Additional benefits include a certificate and flexible work hours.
