It also emphasizes employee growth and aims to foster a workplace grounded in trust, care, inclusion, and enjoyment.
Role overview
This position sits within the Knowledge Management Solutions team, which develops self-service content for members, customers, and employees. The team produces instructional, process, and technical content using both traditional and AI-assisted approaches, delivering it through help centers, virtual assistants, in-product experiences, enterprise search, and CRM tools.
The Staff Localization Program Manager will lead the strategy, systems, and execution needed to scale AI-enabled localization across global content experiences. The role centers on AI-first localization workflows, platform integrations, and quality processes that improve translation accuracy, speed, and cost efficiency.
This person will act as the in-house specialist for localization and for designing AI-native localization systems and workflows, working closely with Marketing Technology, Engineering, Data Science, and content teams to build scalable production-ready solutions.
Work location
The role is hybrid, with work split between home and a company office on selected days depending on business needs. This position may be based in New York, Sunnyvale, San Francisco, or Mountain View.
What you will do
- Help mature localization capabilities by expanding LLM-based solutions across global content.
- Own the design and ongoing development of AI-enabled localization systems, agentic workflows, and operating models across the content ecosystem.
- Build and scale localization processes end to end, including platform integrations, content routing, translation, evaluation, and quality validation.
- Create automated and agentic approaches that improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability across languages and content types.
- Partner with Data Science, Engineering, and content teams to deliver localization needs tied to platform and AI initiatives.
- Set and manage performance goals for automation, quality, speed, cost efficiency, coverage, and adoption, using data to monitor progress and prioritize work.
- Improve translation quality and time-to-market while reducing reliance on manual and vendor-heavy processes over time.
- Serve as the primary expert on localization strategy, AI-supported workflows, and scaling systems.
Required background
- At least 8 years of experience in localization, internationalization, language technology, AI-enabled content systems, or similar program leadership roles.
- At least 5 years of experience leading complex, ambiguous, cross-functional programs in a fast-moving environment as a senior individual contributor.
- At least 5 years of hands-on work with translation management systems, machine translation, LLMs, NLP-based localization workflows, and AI-driven content operations.
- At least 3 years of experience building scalable localization and AI-enabled language systems, including automated quality evaluation frameworks and model-based improvements to user experience.
- Professional English proficiency plus at least one additional language, along with at least 3 years using both languages in localization, content, translation, or multilingual business settings.
- At least 3 years of experience using dashboards, SQL, or performance data to guide decisions.
Preferred background
- 2 or more years of experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and operational performance in localization.
- Strong understanding of content and localization systems such as CCMS, TMS, taxonomy, terminology, and metadata structures.
- Experience building processes that improve efficiency and quality for large teams.
- Experience with multilingual quality methods such as MQM, QE, and other structured evaluation approaches.
- Experience managing terminology, glossaries, and style guides to keep multilingual content consistent.
- Experience supporting platform migrations, system integrations, or large-scale content transformation efforts.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to lead through cross-functional partnership.
