Role overview

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Laundry Worker to help keep linens and personal clothing clean, organized, and readily available in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities

• Gather, separate, wash, dry, fold, and hand out linens and residents’ clothing.
• Use laundry machines and related equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• Track laundry-related activities and report equipment problems or safety concerns to a supervisor.
• Follow infection-prevention practices and universal precautions to maintain a hygienic setting.
• Communicate politely with residents, staff, and visitors while delivering strong customer service.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior laundry experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Must maintain a professional, positive approach and communicate well with facility occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to work around cleaning chemicals and products.
• Must be able to follow spoken and written directions and complete repetitive routine tasks every day.
• Residency within the service area is required.
