Role overview
ArrowCore Group is hiring a Finance Data Analyst to support Revenue Accounting and other finance-focused initiatives on a 12-month contract basis. This is a remote role based in the USA. The position sits within the Finance function and acts as a key data resource for accounting analysis, revenue recognition, audit support, and finance process improvement.
What you'll do
You will develop and support analytical logic used in accounting workflows, contribute to revenue analysis, and partner with engineering and data teams to improve systems and controls. The role involves close collaboration with Finance Data Engineering, Data Science, and IT teams to strengthen reporting, streamline processes, and scale data capabilities for future business needs.
Key work areas
- Create and run database queries to generate monthly digital revenue reporting, check results for correctness, and resolve discrepancies.
- Help design, implement, and maintain analyses and processes used in item-based revenue recognition, including split logic for consumable and durable goods, player lifetime estimates, IAP bundle allocation, paid versus earned currency, virtual currency holding periods, and virtual item consumption patterns.
- Support quarterly analysis of user purchase and session data for revenue accounting purposes.
- Partner with the Finance Data Engineering team to maintain and enhance the revenue database and related ETL processes.
- Lead internal audit support efforts, including data quality tooling, process improvements, and work tied to ITGC reliance.
- Assist external IT auditors by preparing evidence and presenting support for annual audits and ad hoc systems control reviews.
- Work with the analytics team to validate finance metrics used by FP&A.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance systems, controls, and data solutions as the organization scales.
Experience and qualifications
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in statistics, analytics, finance, accounting, computer science, or a related field, along with 4 to 5 years of experience across business or analytics functions such as data science, analytics, management consulting, or business operations. Strong SQL skills are essential, and hands-on experience with at least one programming language such as R or Python is required. A working understanding of finance and accounting operations, management reporting, and external audit expectations is important, along with the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
Additional requirements
Success in this role calls for someone who can thrive in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment, refine data processes and controls, and keep strong documentation practices. Clear written and verbal communication is necessary, especially when explaining requirements, supporting audits, and documenting procedures.
