Role overview
ViClarity Europe is hiring a Reporting/Data Analyst to join its expanding analytics function in Tralee, County Kerry. The role focuses on turning complex data into clear, actionable insights and building dashboards that support better business decisions. You will work closely with end users and stakeholders to understand reporting needs, convert them into technical requirements, and see reporting work through the entire lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Create, support, and improve Power BI reports, dashboards, and visual summaries that help teams make informed decisions.
- Prepare and clean data using tools such as Power Query, DAX, and SQL so that reporting outputs remain accurate and consistent.
- Build and maintain data models and ETL processes that enable dependable and scalable reporting.
- Work with internal teams, business users, and stakeholders to capture reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Own reporting assignments from requirements gathering through development, testing, release, and after-go-live support.
- Use basic project management methods to set priorities, handle timelines, and monitor progress across multiple requests.
- Follow data governance, security, and quality requirements in all reporting work.
- Investigate and fix issues affecting data accuracy, report performance, or usability.
- Keep clear documentation of data sources, models, processes, and dashboards to support continuity and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience in a data analyst or reporting analyst position.
- Practical, hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and the Power BI Service.
- Demonstrated ability in data transformation, preparation, and modelling.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and shaping data from relational databases.
- Comfort working with business stakeholders and turning business needs into technical requirements.
- Ability to manage reporting work independently from initiation to completion.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Power BI Service Dataflows or AWS Glue is an added advantage.
- Microsoft Power BI certification is preferred.
- Experience in Agile or Scrum delivery environments is preferred.
- Experience with Power BI Paginated Reports is a distinct advantage.
