Role overview

Byrne Hotel Group is hiring an experienced bartender for its busy Victoria Hotel in Galway. The role sits within the food and beverage team and reports to the F&B Manager. The main focus is to deliver warm, efficient service to hotel guests while maintaining high standards at the bar.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a welcoming bar experience and consistently meet or exceed guest expectations for cocktails and drinks.
• Keep the bar clean, tidy, and well-organised while following all hotel sanitation requirements.
• Work closely with colleagues on shift, communicating clearly to support a positive team atmosphere across the hotel.
• Serve cocktails and beverages accurately, knowledgeably, and with attention to detail.
• Gauge guest satisfaction, make suitable recommendations, and handle concerns or requests promptly and professionally.
• Help receive bar deliveries and support stock control and replenishment.
• Attend training sessions when requested by the departmental manager or hotel manager.
• Report faulty or damaged equipment and follow through on maintenance issues so they are resolved quickly.
• Follow all financial procedures, especially guest billing, and ensure shifts are closed correctly and balanced.

Experience and application conditions

This position requires prior bartending experience as well as cashier experience. Candidates should already be living in Galway, as the employer is looking to hire immediately. Only applicants who meet these conditions should apply.
