About the internship
This internship is for a graphic designer who can create polished, conversion-focused ecommerce emails. The work calls for a refined visual eye, disciplined layout thinking, and a mobile-first approach. You will transform lifecycle and campaign briefs into email creative that is clear, persuasive, and on-brand. Senior-level experience is not required, but you should already understand spacing, hierarchy, typography, CTA clarity, mobile readability, and brand consistency. This role is centered on email design rather than generic social or poster-style creative.
What you'll do
- Design email layouts for ecommerce campaigns, automated flows, and lifecycle journeys.
- Build key email components such as hero sections, product blocks, trust elements, CTA areas, and reusable modules.
- Adjust creative direction according to the brand category, target audience, product, and campaign objective.
- Create desktop email designs at roughly 600 px width and ensure they translate well to mobile.
- Translate briefs from the lifecycle/email operator into finished visual assets.
- Keep the message structure visually clear so readers can quickly understand the offer and the intended action.
- Review spacing, typography, contrast, image balance, mobile cropping, CTA prominence, and overall brand consistency.
- Develop or modify graphics in Figma, Canva, or comparable tools.
- Use AI tools only as a helper for inspiration or speed, while avoiding template-like outputs that look machine-generated.
- Build a compact internal collection of reusable email sections and design patterns.
Requirements
- Strong design judgment and a good sense of visual hierarchy.
- Basic understanding of ecommerce brands and the role of email design in lifecycle marketing.
- Ability to create email layouts that stay readable and effective on mobile.
- Comfort working with Figma, Canva, or similar design tools.
- Sharp eye for spacing, typography, contrast, image handling, and CTA clarity.
- Ability to follow a brief and turn it into clean, polished creative.
- Willingness to revise and improve work based on feedback.
- Bonus experience with email design, landing pages, ecommerce creatives, product blocks, newsletters, or ad creatives.
- Bonus familiarity with Klaviyo, Customer.io, Shopify, email templates, or lifecycle marketing.
Perks
- Certificate
- Letter of recommendation
- Flexible work hours
- 5-day work week
