Task Associate

Role overview

Ulta Beauty is hiring a Task Associate to help keep store operations running smoothly and support an excellent guest experience. This role is centered on making sure merchandise is ready for sale, the store stays organized and clean, and assigned operational tasks are completed accurately and on time. The position calls for strong attention to detail, comfort with following procedures, and a steady focus on both teamwork and guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Support store performance by helping ensure tasks are completed as scheduled and products remain available for customers.
• Track and complete operational work such as shipment processing, replenishment, merchandise sets, inventory counts, and other dashboard-related objectives.
• Arrive on time and maintain consistent attendance.
• Help build a welcoming, inclusive environment for coworkers and guests.
• Take part in ongoing training, including learning about brands and product categories, to strengthen skills and support sales.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and standards at all times.
• Adhere to the company dress code.
• Carry out resets, planograms, marketing presentations, physical inventory activities, and shipment handling using store technology and established best practices.
• Keep assigned areas stocked, signed, faced, and ready for shoppers, and make sure testers are available.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness across the sales floor, restrooms, checkout area, backroom, and break area.
• Help protect store assets by using loss-prevention practices and delivering strong guest service.
• Complete additional operational duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma is preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience, or an equivalent mix of education and related experience, is preferred.
• Comfort with basic technology, including point-of-sale systems and Apple devices.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Availability for a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, daytime shifts, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.
• Capacity to remain mobile throughout the store during a shift.
• Ability to stand, bend, pull, push, reach, and twist frequently during the workday.
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 25 lbs during a shift.
• Ability to continuously coordinate and handle objects while working.
