About the Role
Kaizen Paints is hiring a Specification Manager for its Jeddah operations. The position calls for a seasoned professional from the Saudi Arabian paint and coatings sector who can steer specification development in line with customer needs, project goals, and regulatory expectations. The selected candidate will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders to shape product specifications and support project success.
This is also a leadership-oriented role, involving supervision of a small team, coordination with internal and external partners, and support for strategic market growth initiatives. The role requires commercial judgment, strong negotiation ability, and a well-established network within the Saudi market. Bilingual communication in Arabic and English is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, refine, and maintain detailed product specifications that match project requirements and customer expectations in the paint and coatings space.
- Drive business development by spotting new opportunities and working with stakeholders to strengthen Kaizen Paints’ reach in the region.
- Work with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to make sure specifications align with industry norms and project timelines.
- Negotiate agreements and commercial terms with customers and vendors to achieve beneficial outcomes and keep the sales pipeline moving.
- Supervise and support one team member through coaching, direction, and regular performance input.
- Track the project pipeline, review progress, anticipate demand, and help allocate resources effectively.
- Stay commercially informed by following market shifts, competitor activity, and relevant regulatory updates in the industry.
- Use strong Arabic and English communication skills to coordinate with a wide range of regional stakeholders.
- Develop and sustain solid relationships across the Saudi Arabian paint and coatings market, including consultants and contractors.
- Ensure specification files and related communication are delivered accurately, promptly, and in line with company and industry requirements.
- Contribute to strategic planning that improves product acceptance and expands market share.
Experience and Profile
The ideal candidate should bring at least 7 years of relevant experience, preferably within the Saudi Arabian paint and coatings industry. The role is best suited to someone who is commercially sharp, persuasive in negotiations, and able to work confidently with multiple stakeholders. A strong professional network in Saudi Arabia will be an important advantage.
Language Requirement
Fluency in both Arabic and English is required for day-to-day communication with clients, partners, and internal teams.
