Role Summary
The Sales Assistant is expected to drive sales whenever opportunities arise while delivering a high standard of customer care. The role also involves keeping the shop floor fully stocked, neatly merchandised, and arranged according to the department layout so that products are presented in a way that supports sales.
Key Duties
- Greet customers promptly, engage with them, and determine what they need.
- Showcase products and explain their features, advantages, and benefits to support the sale.
- Work consistently toward strong departmental sales performance.
- Direct customers to other departments once their immediate needs have been handled.
- Provide support in any other shop area that is experiencing pressure or high demand.
- Recognize and respond to the needs and preferences of Qatar Duty Free customers.
- Use every sales opportunity effectively, including complementary selling and substitute selling where appropriate, and apply proven selling techniques to improve results.
