About the Role
This position sits within rural banking and is centered on the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) segment. The role is responsible for bringing in new customers, strengthening relationships with existing clients, and delivering a high standard of service. It works in coordination with product and operations teams to support acquisition, servicing, and portfolio expansion. The position also contributes to branch banking goals by managing new-to-bank clients and improving customer profitability.
Primary Responsibilities
- Grow deposit balances and liabilities in existing KCC accounts while increasing share of wallet.
- Track account money movement closely to spot business opportunities early.
- Stay in regular touch with customers through calls and mailers, and keep them informed about interest rates, exchange rates, and available products.
- Develop new KCC leads through referrals, brokers, and other lead sources.
- Bring in new KCC customers with a solid grasp of credit evaluation and financial paperwork.
- Use knowledge of liabilities, foreign exchange, trade finance, delinquency handling, and relationship management to expand business volume.
- Manage the KCC portfolio through renewals, retention efforts, and ongoing monitoring while keeping deferrals and covenant breaches low.
- Work with branch banking teams to create better cross-functional synergies within the bank ecosystem.
- Assess growth opportunities using competitor insights and customer feedback.
- Suggest process changes that improve service quality and operational efficiency across branches.
- Contribute to sales planning, promotions, and marketing activities.
- Understand financial statements, credit appraisal methods, and title/security documentation.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Help attract and retain strong talent for important positions within the reporting line.
- Track productivity, hiring outcomes, and attrition levels, and act on improvement areas.
- Support teams with the guidance needed to meet growth targets.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required.
Experience
At least 3 years of relevant experience in rural banking, KCC or credit products, or relationship management is preferred.
