QCC Maintenance & Safety Technician

About the RolePapa John’s is hiring a QCC Maintenance & Safety Technician to help keep production and facility equipment in working order while also supporting a safe and compliant workplace. This role is centered on maintenance support, safety oversight, documentation, and coordination with operations and corporate safety teams. The work is demanding and varied, but it offers the chance to contribute behind the scenes in a fast-moving environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead safety onboarding for new team members and oversee ongoing safety instruction, annual refreshers, first aid/CPR training, and required written safety programs.Audit safety practices, reinforce proper program use, and coordinate annual hearing tests.Track safety conditions and facility risks, take corrective action when needed, and investigate incidents when requested.Support the Director during OSHA inspections and act as a key resource for compliance-related matters.Perform and record daily hazard checks and weekly joint hazard assessments across the center.Make sure quarterly self-audits are completed, documented, and reported, including weekly safety updates to the Director of Safety.Maintain essential records such as the OSHA 300 log, safety files, training records, work permits, and lockout/tagout procedures.Partner with Operations through safety calls, committee meetings, webinars, team-building sessions, R&R meetings, and updates to the R&R board.Share a weekly safety topic with Operations and provide regular updates on facility issues, status, and safety-related information from corporate teams.Act as the main link between Corporate Safety, Risk Management, and the facility for workers’ compensation matters.Ensure incidents are reported correctly, collect witness statements and supporting documents, and confirm that injured team members follow company policy.Track follow-up treatment, medical paperwork, leave-of-absence documents, and return-to-work coordination.Assist department leaders in gathering the medical information needed to process claims.Identify root causes, confirm corrective actions are implemented effectively, and review reports for accuracy and completeness.Build and maintain working relationships with the facility’s occupational clinic.Carry out upkeep and repair tasks for production and facility equipment to support efficiency and smooth operations.RequirementsExperience handling maintenance and safety-related responsibilities in a production or facility environment.Ability to manage safety training, audits, incident follow-up, documentation, and reporting with attention to detail.Comfort working with compliance-related records such as OSHA logs, permits, and lockout/tagout documentation.Strong coordination and communication skills for working with operations, corporate teams, and external medical or occupational health partners.Capability to support workers’ compensation processes, incident investigations, and corrective action tracking.Willingness to work primarily on first shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed.Preferred, though not mandatory: OSHA-30 training and CSP certification.Additional InformationPapa John’s states that it is a federal contract employer and uses E-Verify to confirm work eligibility for new team members.
