Role overview
Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Improvement & Development Manager to support the ongoing development of Community Dental Services across West Yorkshire. This position suits someone who enjoys working with people, partnering with teams, using data to drive decisions, and helping improve fairness and quality for patients.
In this role, you will work with senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams to convert insight into practical action. Your focus will be on delivering improvements that create lasting gains in quality, equity, and value.
What the role involves
You will lead and support improvement activity across short-, medium-, and long-term timescales, making sure strategic priorities are translated into meaningful change in day-to-day service delivery.
You will also strengthen the Collaborative’s business intelligence and insight function, ensuring reliable data supports planning, performance monitoring, and shared decisions.
The role includes embedding improvement methods and sound governance, with a strong emphasis on tracking benefits and demonstrating impact over time.
Working closely with partners and the Lead Provider, you will help improve service resilience, productivity, and patient experience.
You will need to communicate complex or sensitive information clearly and with empathy, building alignment and influence across several organisations.
Candidate profile
The Trust is looking for someone educated to degree level, or holding an equivalent professional qualification, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Strong experience in programme, project, and change management is important, ideally gained in complex health or public sector settings.
You should be confident working with data, including analysis, interpretation, and presenting insight to a range of audiences.
Excellent stakeholder management skills are essential, including the ability to negotiate, influence, and develop effective partnerships across organisational boundaries.
