Role overview
SeaHill Consulting Group is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support remote HR administration and workforce data management. This contract role is centered on maintaining accurate employee and contractor information, handling documentation workflows, and helping keep compliance records up to date.
Core responsibilities
- Keep employee and contractor profiles current within internal systems.
- Check and record work authorization and citizenship details for contractors assigned to project sites.
- Handle large-scale data entry work while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Revise personnel files, supporting documents, and compliance-related records as required.
- Monitor missing items and contact contractors to collect outstanding documentation.
- Organize digital records and preserve data consistency across platforms.
- Support onboarding steps and day-to-day HR administrative tasks.
- Prepare simple reports and share progress updates with internal teams.
- Contribute to improvements in data handling and workforce administration processes.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
- At least 3 years of experience in administration, HR support, recruiting support, data entry, or a related area.
- Strong capability in entering and managing data.
- Sharp attention to detail and solid organizational habits.
- Comfort working with repetitive work and high information volumes.
- Good command of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
- Clear written and spoken communication skills.
- Ability to operate independently in a remote setting.
Preferred background
- Prior exposure to construction, engineering, utilities, or field services environments.
- Background handling contractor documentation, onboarding, or workforce compliance records.
- Familiarity with HR platforms or applicant tracking systems.
- Interest in process improvement, automation, or AI-assisted workflows.
