About the Role
Capgemini Engineering is hiring an Electrical-Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of electrical cabinets and connectivity solutions for advanced high-tech systems. The role is based in Bengaluru, with possible assignment locations in Coimbatore and Pune, and is suited to professionals with 3 to 6 years of experience.
This position contributes to engineering work for complex equipment used in cutting-edge lithography and other high-tech environments. You will work with cross-functional teams to help develop reliable electromechanical solutions that support product performance, quality, and manufacturability.
What You Will Do
You will be responsible for developing electrical cabinets and the related connectivity architecture, including cabling harnesses, interfaces between boards, sensors, actuators, racks, and enclosure components. The role also involves electrical and mechanical 3D design, cable routing, technical documentation, and support for product validation and testing.
You will collaborate with project managers, lead engineers, mechanical designers, and other engineering specialists, while also coordinating with external suppliers and sharing knowledge with production and service teams.
Technical Scope
The work covers electronics integration, cabling concepts, routing, connectivity, EMC considerations, safety aspects, diagnostics, thermal behavior, and cooling. You will work on complex CAD-based designs for items such as cables, cabinets, boxes with electronics, connection plates, back panels, rear panels, and controller PCBA-related assemblies.
The role requires involvement in reviewing your own work, supporting design reviews, identifying issues in electromechanical designs, and helping resolve them in a structured way.
Experience and Education
The position requires 3 to 6 years of relevant engineering experience. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline is expected.
Skills and Working Style
You should be comfortable working in multidisciplinary design teams and aligning on technical specifications. Strong communication, initiative, attention to detail, and a quality-oriented mindset are important. A flexible, pragmatic, analytical, and systematic approach is valued, along with fluency in English, both spoken and written.
