Role overviewThis position is for a school driver responsible for moving students safely and on time for daily travel and school-related trips in Erode, Tamil Nadu.Purpose of the roleThe main objective is to ensure secure transportation for students and support other school transport needs as required.Key responsibilitiesTransport students safely and punctually.Follow all applicable road, transport, and safety rules.Help define and follow transport-related procedures and operating guidelines.Track transport activity and share performance-related observations or metrics when needed.Keep school buses and other vehicles in proper working condition through regular inspection and maintenance checks.Skills neededConfident vehicle handling with a strong focus on safe driving.Ability to manage transport safety effectively.Clear communication and good coordination skills.Strong organization and attention to routine operational detail.Working knowledge of transport safety regulations and standard best practices.RequirementsMinimum qualification of a high school diploma or an equivalent credential.At least 3 years of experience working as a bus driver.A valid driving license with a clean driving history.Additional informationThe organization follows a child-first approach, with student wellbeing and safety treated as top priorities.
