About the role

Hanes Brands Australasia is looking for a Design Assistant to join the Bras N Things design function in Pyrmont, New South Wales. This role is geared toward someone who loves fashion, keeps a close eye on trends, and wants to contribute to the creation of commercially successful, fashion-forward product ranges for one of Australia’s best-known intimates brands.

What you will do

  • Assist with the full design workflow, including CAD creation, tech pack preparation, and range development.
  • Monitor emerging trends by reviewing competitors and the wider market.
  • Help coordinate samples, colour trackers, and administrative tasks tied to the critical path.
  • Work closely with design, buying, and other cross-functional partners to help deliver new ranges.

What you need

  • A tertiary qualification in lingerie design or fashion design.
  • Internship or up to 2 years of experience in a Design Assistant position.
  • Practical CAD ability and intermediate-level Photoshop skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Mac systems.
  • Experience carrying out market research and competitor analysis.
  • A highly organised, detail-focused approach and the ability to perform in a busy, fast-moving environment.
  • A proactive, cooperative attitude with solid problem-solving skills.
