About the role
Hanes Brands Australasia is looking for a Design Assistant to join the Bras N Things design function in Pyrmont, New South Wales. This role is geared toward someone who loves fashion, keeps a close eye on trends, and wants to contribute to the creation of commercially successful, fashion-forward product ranges for one of Australia’s best-known intimates brands.
What you will do
- Assist with the full design workflow, including CAD creation, tech pack preparation, and range development.
- Monitor emerging trends by reviewing competitors and the wider market.
- Help coordinate samples, colour trackers, and administrative tasks tied to the critical path.
- Work closely with design, buying, and other cross-functional partners to help deliver new ranges.
What you need
- A tertiary qualification in lingerie design or fashion design.
- Internship or up to 2 years of experience in a Design Assistant position.
- Practical CAD ability and intermediate-level Photoshop skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Mac systems.
- Experience carrying out market research and competitor analysis.
- A highly organised, detail-focused approach and the ability to perform in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- A proactive, cooperative attitude with solid problem-solving skills.
