Data Analyst

Role overview

This contract Data Analyst position is based onsite in Santa Ana, California. The core purpose of the role is to support business intelligence by producing repeatable and ad hoc reporting that helps teams make better decisions. The work centers on mining, extracting, cleaning, analyzing, and presenting data, with an emphasis on logistics, distribution centers, warehouse operations, and supply chain settings.

The pay rate for this assignment is $50.00 to $55.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Perform data review and business analysis to support operational decision-making.
• Pull and combine information from multiple systems and sources to create reports.
• Prepare recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reporting deliverables.
• Build automation into reporting and improve report structure and presentation.
• Keep existing dashboards updated and perform ongoing weekly and monthly analysis.
• Turn analytical findings into recommendations that support critical business choices.
• Create models that help leadership evaluate options and make decisions.
• Spot process or performance gaps and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Deliver both standard reports and complex ad hoc analyses for varied audiences.

Required qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in reporting and data analysis within logistics, distribution center, warehouse, and/or supply chain environments.
• Background in cost analysis and KPI reporting.
• Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel, SQL, Access, BI tools, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in an operations-focused environment such as logistics, warehousing, or supply chain.
• Hands-on exposure to SAP.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Ability to manage several projects at once while staying results-focused.

Compensation and benefits

The standard base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $50.00 to $55.00 per hour. Because this is a non-exempt role, overtime is paid at 1.5 times the base hourly rate for hours worked above 40 in a workweek, or as required by applicable state or local law.

Final compensation will depend on relevant skills, education, and experience. Full-time employees may choose from multiple benefits packages.
