About CooperSurgical
CooperSurgical is a fertility and women’s healthcare company focused on supporting patients through important life stages, from contraception and fertility care to birth solutions and broader women’s and family health. As part of CooperCompanies, the organization is guided by values centered on dedication, innovation, partnership, friendliness, and doing the right thing. Its portfolio includes more than 600 clinically relevant medical devices, along with assisted reproductive technology and genomic testing solutions.
Role Overview
This opening is for a Data Analyst working with the Embryo Options business within CooperSurgical. The team helps IVF clinics and patients manage cryopreserved embryos, eggs, and sperm, including online storage fee payments, educational resources, and access to embryo donation services. The broader mission is to help fertility clinics and their patients navigate the financial, legal, and ethical complexities of cryopreservation.
The analyst will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, structure, and usability of customer data across implementation and ongoing reporting. The role acts as a connection point between raw data, internal platforms, and customer-facing outcomes, while also improving data quality and reporting workflows.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the end-to-end flow of data ingestion, checking, and transformation.
- Work with cryo-storage data from multiple messy sources, including Excel, Microsoft Access, SQL systems, and CSV files.
- Coordinate with Customer Success to raise data issues with IVF clinics and EMR vendors.
- Create clear, repeatable analysis that supports business questions from IVF centers and the product organization.
- Partner with the product team to shape features that help clinics understand and use patient data more effectively.
- Serve as the data point person during customer implementations, keeping documentation and timelines organized for all data-related work.
- Work directly with customers to understand their data setup, troubleshoot quality problems, and set realistic expectations around reporting.
- Establish standards for clean data and documentation, and look for ways to automate recurring tasks.
Eligibility and Work Authorization
Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent, ongoing basis. This role is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future, including H1B, STEM OPT extensions, TN, and similar sponsorship routes.
Experience and Education
Candidates should bring 2 to 4 years of experience in a data analyst position and hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related technical discipline.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in data analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a similar technical field.
- Strong command of data cleaning, SQL, and backend data handling.
- Hands-on experience with Excel and a scripting or programming language such as Python or Lua.
- Strong precision and validation habits when working with data.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, uncertain environment while identifying what the business needs and delivering impact.
Compensation and Benefits
The starting base salary for this role is between $70,000 and $97,000 per year. Pay may vary based on multiple factors and can change over time. In addition to salary, the role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits.
Benefits include medical coverage, 401(k), parental leave, fertility benefits, paid time off for vacation, personal use, sick leave, holidays, and other employee perks.
