Role overview
This position is part of Swiggy Dineout, a business focused on transforming how people dine out in India. The platform serves diners across a wide restaurant network, spanning 21,000+ partner restaurants in 34 cities, and helps users discover dining options ranging from quick service and cafes to casual, premium, and fine-dining venues. It also enables customers to save up to 40% on restaurant bills through bill payments made in the Swiggy app.
The Cluster Manager will be responsible for ground-level onboarding and account management, working closely with restaurant partners and the front-line sales team. The role requires regular review of account performance, ongoing partner engagement, and quick action to address concerns, objections, and growth opportunities.
Work location
Candidates are expected to work from their assigned base location in Delhi.
Key responsibilities
The role involves managing partner relationships, reviewing business performance, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and guiding the field team to meet revenue and growth goals.
Account and partner management
- Review the P&L of major restaurant partners so they can clearly see where they are performing well and where opportunities are being missed, while also assessing revenue expectations and the partner’s ability to invest.
- Define and revisit the commercial terms between Swiggy and the account, for both new and existing partners, and adjust the structure seasonally or whenever changes are agreed.
- Share insights that help partners take corrective steps and unlock growth through the right business levers.
- Meet top competitor accounts to understand market actions and suggest suitable counter-strategies.
Data and performance tracking
- Monitor daily Salesmate activity and physical meetings completed by each sales point of contact.
- Track weekly portfolio- and city-level account growth or decline, and identify the reasons behind performance changes.
- Review outlets with low counter share on the platform and work with the sales team to create plans to improve their performance.
- Keep an eye on daily performance against key account metrics such as Ads RPO.
Team leadership
- Share the execution plan with the team, including timelines and the main parameters for delivery.
- Ensure initiatives are implemented to achieve individual revenue targets across the P&L, including advertisements, RPO, and marketing activities, while continuously monitoring progress.
- Stay actively involved in the field, set clear expectations, and coach the team on effective practices.
Stakeholder coordination
- Work with partner support teams on items such as discount updates and restaurant display page changes.
- Coordinate with sales operations for inputs like competition comparisons and festival-related data.
- Liaise with finance on payout reconciliation, GST-related queries, and cases where partner payments have not been credited.
Functional knowledge expected
The role requires a solid understanding of Dineout’s offerings and the growth levers that influence business outcomes. Candidates should be comfortable working with restaurant operating hours, Ads Revenue per Order, Commission Revenue per Order, Average Order Value, partner app features, and dashboard tools such as CMS, Power BI, Compass, and Salesmate. A strong understanding of the conversion funnel is also important, including week-wise, month-wise, and day-wise transactions, denial rates, and supply metrics compared with competitors.
Desired profile
Applicants should be graduates with field sales experience, fluent in the local language, and comfortable working in English. The role suits someone with exposure to e-commerce and digital marketing channels, strong communication ability, a persuasive and confident personality, and a sales-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate should be analytical, comfortable with Excel, collaborative, adaptable to non-standard restaurant business hours, and capable of influencing people across different levels.
