- Prepare and submit clear, accurate, and timely oral and written reports, including incident reports, statements, and safety-related documents.
- Show initiative and work effectively both independently and as part of a team, including parade checks and timely deployment of personnel.
- Carry out staff assessments in line with Barrick policies and procedures.
- Investigate and escalate any breaches of search policy to the Superintendent or Manager without delay.
- Report any failure in access-control systems immediately to the technicians responsible for repairs.
- Inspect card readers at access and exit points, including gates and turnstiles, on a daily basis.
- Complete and submit weekly fence-line inspection reports on time.
- Ensure correct working procedures are followed within plant and operations areas.
- Train team members and bring them to the required standard on all security policies and procedures.
- Hold team members accountable for expected outputs while making practical, value-based decisions.
- Respond calmly and flexibly to changing situations within the department.
- Work effectively under pressure and plan ahead so resources are available for current and future needs.
