About the Role
Mitchell Casting Pty Ltd is seeking a temporary Casting Assistant to provide administrative support within a dynamic casting agency. This role is designed for short-term assistance, approximately 2-4 days per week, primarily during June and July 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide essential administrative support to a busy casting agency.
- Manage and respond to inquiries via phone and email.
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the casting office.
Essential Qualities
- Capacity to perform effectively under significant pressure.
- A strong commitment to work ethic, adhering to a 'no-ego' policy.
- Meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
- A proactive and positive 'can-do' attitude.
- Proficiency in using technology and standard administrative software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Additional Information
While prior industry experience or familiarity with platforms like Showcast, Casting Networks, or Cast It is not mandatory, strong administrative capabilities and a pleasant telephone demeanor are vital. This is an entry-level position, and while applications from more experienced candidates are welcome, the focus is on filling an assistant-level role.
