Role Overview
Join Pfizer as an Associate Manager focused on Investigation, contributing directly to the delivery of safe, effective products to patients. This role plays a vital part in upholding our science- and risk-based quality culture, encompassing development, maintenance, compliance, and research analysis activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed investigations into quality concerns arising in manufacturing and quality laboratories.
- Analyze deviations, out-of-specification results, and unusual investigational findings.
- Determine root causes and recommend sound corrective action plans to mitigate issues.
- Ensure all investigation reports fully comply with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Manage moderately complex projects independently, organizing schedules to meet deadlines.
- Formulate short-term work plans and collaborate effectively within team settings.
- Utilize professional skills and discipline knowledge to contribute to team efforts effectively.
- Make informed decisions addressing moderately complex problems within standard frameworks.
- Perform tasks under supervision following established protocols and guidelines.
- Review own work regularly and occasionally mentor peers by reviewing their work outputs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Possess an MBA/MS or associate degree with a minimum of six years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma (or equivalent) with at least eight years of pertinent industry practice.
- Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Experience within the pharmaceutical sector is required.
- A strong foundation in manufacturing, compliance, and technological aspects of investigations, processes, and systems.
- Work capability both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication competence.
- Proficient in computer use, especially advanced management of Excel spreadsheets.
Preferred Attributes
- Advanced academic degree such as a Master's.
- Prior experience conducting and documenting investigations with a structured methodology.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and quality standards.
- Strong analytical reasoning and critical thinking capacity.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects efficiently.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective action formulation.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Capability to mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.
- Excellent interpersonal skills enabling a collaborative team environment.
- Experience employing AI tools, including generative AI like ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to aid problem-solving and boost productivity, coupled with an understanding of ethical AI use, risk management, and responsible handling.
