Supply Chain Data Analyst

Role overview

As a Supply Chain Data Analyst based in Palo Alto, CA, you will partner with the Supply Chain organization to turn large, complex datasets into practical insights and decision support. This role focuses on improving planning visibility, strengthening operational decision-making, and streamlining workflows through automation and scalable analytics tools. The right person will be proactive, technically strong, and comfortable solving challenging supply chain problems with data.

Key responsibilities

• Create and support tools, dashboards, and platforms that provide complete visibility into supply and demand planning across multiple supply chain tiers.
• Build and execute supply simulations to identify constrained supply chains, anticipate risk, and help planning, Supply Chain Program Manager, and GSM teams make better decisions.
• Automate recurring operational tasks to reduce manual work and improve efficiency across Material Planning, GSM, and Component GSM functions.
• Use SQL to query and interpret large datasets, surfacing trends, anomalies, and actionable supply chain insights.
• Develop Python scripts and data pipelines for extraction, transformation, reporting, and simulation modeling.
• Prepare dashboards, ad hoc analyses, supply risk reviews, and quarterly operational summaries for leadership.
• Independently handle multiple analytics initiatives, platform development efforts, and data support requests while meeting deadlines and objectives.

Requirements

• A degree in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or Business Analytics, or equivalent experience paired with exceptional ability.
• At least 4 years of experience in supply chain analytics, demand or supply planning, or a related analytical role.
• Strong command of SQL for working with large datasets.
• Hands-on experience using Python for analysis, automation, and pipeline development, including libraries such as pandas and NumPy.
• Proven ability to examine complex data, run simulations, and communicate findings clearly.
• A collaborative, adaptable working style with the ability to build trust across planning, GSM, and systems teams.
• Dashboard and visualization experience, ideally with Tableau or a similar tool, is strongly preferred.

Compensation and benefits

This full-time position offers an annual salary range of $72,000 to $162,000, plus cash awards, stock awards, and additional benefits. Pay may be adjusted based on factors such as location, relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
