The Opportunity

BlueScope’s Lysaght business is looking for an Operations Supervisor to join the Rockhampton, Queensland operations team. Lysaght has manufactured and sold steel building products in Australia since 1921, supporting everything from residential roofing to major commercial and industrial builds.

This role follows a day-shift schedule, Monday to Friday. You will guide a team with a strong emphasis on service quality, teamwork, workplace safety and improved warehouse productivity.

The position is highly practical and leadership-focused. You will support the team across operations, scheduling, machinery use and maintenance, while making sure products are delivered on time and that safety remains a top priority for everyone.

Key Duties

• Oversee the operations area, including product scheduling, machine operation and maintenance activities.
• Build and sustain a customer-oriented culture with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Support team members in their day-to-day operational tasks.
• Look for ways to improve efficiency, strengthen performance and reduce risk, with an ongoing focus on on-time customer delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety standards and encourage change when hazards or opportunities are identified.
• Coach, develop and mentor the team to support growth and long-term success.
