Full Stack Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a hands-on full stack engineer who can build reliable, production-ready digital services from initial design through deployment and ongoing operations. The role calls for strong experience across backend development, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and CI/CD, along with the ability to work closely with architects, operations teams, stakeholders, and product partners to deliver systems that meet performance, security, and reliability expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, enhance, and support REST APIs, event-driven microservices, and backend platforms using TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, and Python.
• Set up and manage CI/CD workflows for automated testing, deployment, and release handling.
• Deploy, run, and observe containerized workloads on Kubernetes, including EKS, within AWS environments.
• Translate business needs and stakeholder input into API definitions, data structures, and technical system requirements.
• Connect applications with databases, queues, external services, and existing enterprise systems.
• Write maintainable, efficient code and back it with strong unit and integration testing.
• Automate infrastructure setup, release processes, and data workflows using Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Introduce monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability practices to support production stability.
• Improve application speed, scale, and availability.
• Investigate production incidents, identify root causes, and put preventive fixes in place.
• Support compliance with security, governance, and data privacy standards.
• Work with product managers, architects, operations staff, and other stakeholders across the software lifecycle.
• Take part in on-call support and incident response activities when needed.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar field.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in full stack development, backend engineering, platform engineering, or a related role.
• Practical experience building and running production APIs and microservices on AWS.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservice design, API architecture, and database integration.
• Exposure to delivering software end to end, from development to deployment and production support.
• Experience working on government or public sector projects will be considered an advantage.
• Strong technical foundation in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Working knowledge of Go and Python.
• Experience creating REST APIs and microservices.
• React or similar modern frontend framework experience is a plus.
• Hands-on use of AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, ECS, and EKS.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CDK.
• Comfort with Git and automated testing practices.
• Ability to integrate applications with databases, messaging platforms, and third-party APIs.
• Understanding of networking basics, cloud-native architecture, and distributed systems.
• Awareness of monitoring, logging, observability, and performance tuning.
• Preferred certifications include AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, AWS DevOps Engineer, CKA, CKAD, or HashiCorp Terraform Associate, or an equivalent qualification.

Additional Information

This is a full-time onsite role based in Singapore, Singapore. The position involves collaboration across engineering and operations functions, and participation in on-call duties may be required.
