Role Overview
We are looking for an Electrical Systems Engineer in Doha, Qatar to take charge of electrical metering systems and related field activities. The role centers on installation oversight, system maintenance, troubleshooting, compliance, and performance monitoring across conventional and smart metering setups.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the installation, routine upkeep, calibration, testing, repair, replacement, and enhancement of electrical meters, including smart metering solutions.
- Make sure every meter installation follows approved technical specifications, company procedures, relevant regulations, and HSE requirements.
- Investigate faults and resolve issues in electrical metering equipment so readings remain accurate, dependable, and continuous.
- Work closely with internal engineering groups, contractors, and service vendors to improve meter efficiency, system uptime, and data quality.
- Oversee the functioning, maintenance, and linkage of meter communication networks to support uninterrupted data transfer.
- Manage on-site installation and maintenance work, track progress, spot defects or deviations, and drive corrective and preventive measures.
- Compile technical documentation, performance dashboards, and operational reviews covering installation status, meter behavior, maintenance work, and system reliability.
- Confirm that all staff hold current permits, certifications, competency records, and compulsory training as required by company and regulatory rules.
Compliance and Operational Standards
All work must remain aligned with company standards, regulatory obligations, and health, safety, and environmental policies. The role also requires ongoing attention to workforce qualification records and mandatory training compliance.
