About the Company
Wynn Al Marjan Island is an upscale beachfront resort destination planned for the United Arab Emirates, with an opening targeted for 2027. Set on a scenic island in Ras Al Khaimah, less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, the property is being developed as a large integrated resort featuring 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, a nightclub, and a five-star spa.
About the Role
The resort is looking to add an Assistant Manager – Procurement to its Procurement team. This position will support sourcing, purchasing, vendor coordination, reporting, and procurement controls across inventory and non-inventory categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, negotiate, and purchase the right goods and services for user departments while following internal and departmental guidelines.
- Track market trends and stay updated on conditions affecting required commodities.
- Draft RFQ and RFP documents in line with company procedures.
- Evaluate supplier bids, prepare practical and cost-conscious recommendations, and record vendor responses.
- Handle mismatches between purchase orders, receiving records, and supplier invoices.
- Build and sustain constructive working relationships with key suppliers while staying within contractual supply terms.
- Work with the warehouse and user departments to keep product ranges balanced and par levels appropriate.
- Support periodic quality inspections of incoming goods with relevant business unit personnel.
- Keep complete and timely records of purchasing activity.
- Assist with monthly reporting and KPI preparation.
- Apply procurement controls, policies, and procedures across inventory, non-inventory, services, petty cash, and emergency purchasing.
- Alert the Procurement Manager to unusual costs, purchasing patterns, or consumption trends and recommend ways to reduce spend, including alternate sourcing options.
- Coordinate multiple priorities at once and ensure issues are followed through promptly.
- Carry out other tasks assigned by Procurement leadership.
- Take part in training and other initiatives that support strong team performance.
- Train team members to strengthen product knowledge, system usage, and negotiation capability.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Communicate professionally and positively with colleagues, management, and suppliers.
- Help build strong relationships, encourage team spirit, and support effective two-way communication.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.
- Observe health and safety requirements and look for ways to reduce injury and hazard risks.
- Contribute to the recycling program and support reduce, reuse, and recycle practices.
- Use time effectively and work with strong reliability, attendance, and punctuality.

Candidate Profile
- An advanced degree or a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent blend of education and experience, is required.
- A procurement-related diploma or certification is preferred and considered an advantage.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a large organization is needed.
- Strong knowledge of global sourcing is essential; familiarity with the UAE supplier market is a major plus.
- Experience handling large-volume or complex tender processes is required.
- Must be business- and customer-focused, with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated program management ability and leadership potential are important.
- Intermediate skills in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, are expected.
- Knowledge of procurement systems is important; experience with BirchStreet (BSS) is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- High integrity, strong organisation, and attention to detail are essential.
