About the role
Breeze Airways is seeking a Materials Specialist to support station operations and help keep aircraft maintenance supplied and running smoothly. In this role, you will work closely with the Maintenance Department and the Materials Operations Supervisors to manage warehouse inventory, shipping, receiving, and material movement in a safe, organized, and fast-paced environment. The position is part of a cross-functional team focused on making travel simpler, more affordable, and more convenient while improving the guest experience through technology, ingenuity, and kindness.
The starting pay for this role is $18.50 per hour. A $2.00 shift differential is added when working from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
What you will do
- Take daily ownership of Material Stores and Line Material activities.
- Resolve issues related to inventory accuracy, part issuance, shipping, receiving, stocking, material handling, and equipment use.
- Support warehouse operations for both technical and non-technical inventory.
- Enter and manage material data in the company inventory system, including locating, issuing, receiving, and shipping supplies, tools, and materials.
- Partner with Maintenance Operations Control to move inventory, tooling, and special equipment needed for Aircraft on Ground recovery.
- Track stock items and minimum/maximum inventory levels, and coordinate changes with Maintenance, Purchasing, and other internal teams.
- Perform audits, inspections, and reconciliations while maintaining compliance with the General Maintenance Manual.
- Carry out physical inventory counts and verify stock remains within required limits.
- Work with Maintenance and Quality teams on calibrated tooling, shelf-life checks, and replacement activities for monthly regulatory compliance.
- Complete receiving inspections when assigned by Quality Control.
- Prepare hazardous materials shipments in line with IATA requirements.
- Work with Engineering and Maintenance Planning to build fleet modification kits.
- Handle additional responsibilities assigned by the Manager of Materials.
- Meet performance expectations while supporting Breeze Aviation Group values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence.
Minimum qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in data entry or inventory management.
- Strong technical and analytical ability to produce TRAX, Excel, and related reports.
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Breeze Airways standards.
- Ability to operate company vehicles, trucks, forklifts, and other ground service equipment.
- Completion of Materials and General Maintenance Manual training.
- Successful completion of Dangerous Goods and IATA ground training, with ongoing recurrent certification.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. under the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
- Ability to operate 5K and 15K forklifts for shipping and movement of aircraft engines and GSE equipment.
- Ability to pass a 10-year background check and criminal history records check.
- Valid passport with no restrictions for travel outside the United States.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge under TSA requirements.
- Ability to obtain required airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
- Fluency in English.
- Minimum age of 18 years.

Preferred qualifications
- Four-year degree in Business, Aerospace, or another relevant field, or a certificate from an approved trade or technical school.
- Experience with the TRAX M&E inventory system.
- Background in warehousing or stockroom operations.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

- Capability to lift, carry, and move medium to heavy items of 50 pounds or more.
- Physical ability to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently in confined areas.
