Role overview
The business is seeking a proactive, energetic Learning & Development Manager to join the People Team in Ireland. The role has broad influence across the group and involves partnering with senior leaders, strengthening leadership capability, and shaping learning activity that supports business growth.
This is a role for someone who enjoys both planning and delivery, is comfortable working in a dynamic environment, and can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Key responsibilities
- Build and deliver leadership development programmes for General Managers and other leaders.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to develop capability in line with business priorities and growth plans.
- Coach leaders and support development actions that improve performance.
- Spot capability gaps across the business, especially in sales and operations leadership, and translate those needs into learning priorities.
- Serve as the main contact for learning and development matters across the group.
- Coordinate with external training partners to ensure programmes are relevant, high quality, and effective.
- Design and launch new learning initiatives, including induction and guest service training.
- Create practical, engaging, and scalable learning materials suited to the company’s culture.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and group learning activities for different audiences and locations.
- Adjust delivery methods to suit different learning styles and operational requirements.
- Oversee the full coordination of learning programmes, including scheduling, logistics, venues, travel, accommodation, materials, and communications with stakeholders.
- Measure programme impact using feedback, participation indicators, and learning data, then use insights to improve future delivery.
- Help build a culture of continuous learning, leadership growth, and operational excellence.
Experience and capabilities
- At least 3 years of experience in Learning & Development, from any industry.
- Proven ability to design and deliver training programmes, leadership initiatives, or learning workshops.
- Comfort working across both strategic and operational aspects of L&D.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Experience with external trainers or facilitators is beneficial.
- A growth mindset with a genuine interest in ongoing learning and development.
- A positive, can-do approach and the ability to perform well in a fast-moving environment.
- A practical, hands-on style with confidence handling both planning and execution.
- Self-motivation, ownership, and a proactive attitude toward work and initiatives.
- A focus on creating learning experiences that are engaging and meaningful for others.
