About Sundays for Dogs
Sundays for Dogs is a founder-led direct-to-consumer brand that is changing the way people think about dog food. About the Team and Role
The Inside Sales team is a newly created function built to drive new customer acquisition while also supporting early retention. It is a small, high-performing group of 3 to 5 experienced sales professionals who are comfortable with outbound calling, goal achievement, and authentic conversations with customers who care deeply about their dogs.
In this Brand Ambassador role, you will often be the first live representative a new customer hears from at Sundays. Your work will include reaching out to leads, converting new subscribers, and keeping customers engaged throughout the early part of their journey. You will sell to both prospective and existing customers across the lifecycle, with long-term retention as the main objective. This is a performance-driven sales position with targets, commission, and recurring incentives.
Day-to-Day Work
- Place a high volume of outbound calls to new leads and recent customers, turning interest into active subscriptions.
- Own the first 90 days of the customer relationship by following up proactively and keeping new subscribers informed and engaged through their first three deliveries.
- Address objections confidently, whether they relate to pricing, feeding questions, or general uncertainty, and use those conversations to win trust and close the sale.
- Maintain a disciplined pipeline by recording activity, tracking results, and keeping the CRM accurate and up to date.
- Work closely with the Concierge and Care teams to ensure smooth handoffs when a customer needs support beyond sales.
- Represent the Sundays brand with enthusiasm and authenticity in every conversation.
Requirements
- 3 to 5+ years of direct sales experience in inside sales, B2C phone sales, subscription sales, or DTC; customer service experience by itself is not enough for this role.
- A strong history of meeting or exceeding targets, with the ability to discuss your numbers clearly and confidently.
- Excellent spoken communication skills that come across as clear, warm, persuasive, and self-assured on the phone.
- Ability to build rapport quickly, handle objections without relying on a script, and close deals in a natural, non-pushy way.
- Genuine enthusiasm for dogs and a real connection to the Sundays mission.
- Preference for candidates who are remote or willing to travel to Cleveland on a monthly basis.
