About the Role

This position is part of an emergency response team supporting fire suppression, rescue work, and other urgent incident situations. The focus is to act quickly to limit escalation and keep people and property as safe as possible. The role also includes regular drills and exercises within the community to strengthen both individual capability and team performance while maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Requirements

• Completion of Basic Fire Fighter 1 and 2 training under NFPA 1001, along with a Breathing Apparatus Wearer course.
• Certification as a first aider at first responder level, including CPR and AED.
• At least five years of experience as a firefighter in a commercial or industrial fire service, civil defence force, or military fire service; alternatively, Qatari nationals may qualify through successful completion of the QP FPP programme.
• A valid driving licence is required, with preference for a heavy vehicle licence.
• Ability to operate a wide variety of modern firefighting and rescue equipment.
• Capacity to quickly understand conditions at an incident scene, even when circumstances are hazardous or unclear, and follow directions accordingly.
• Empathy and emotional resilience to deal with victims of fire, accidents, and distressing situations.
• Intermediate English proficiency, both spoken and written, at QP L3 level.

Education

Secondary school education completed.

This role is based in Dukhan, Al Shahaniya, Qatar, and is a full-time onsite position.
