Factory Supervisor

Job summary

We are seeking a practical, experienced Factory Supervisor to manage the day-to-day functioning of a textile production unit. The position focuses on keeping production running efficiently, guiding the shop floor team, checking product quality, upholding safety practices, and helping the unit achieve output targets with minimal material loss.

What you will do

• Oversee everyday textile manufacturing work so that operations stay organized and efficient.
• Track production results to ensure quality, delivery timelines, and productivity goals are met.
• Allocate work to operators and shop-floor staff, while monitoring performance and coordination.
• Maintain quality expectations at every stage of the manufacturing process.
• Work closely with production planning, quality assurance, maintenance, and warehouse teams to keep operations smooth.
• Watch machine usage and coordinate preventive upkeep to reduce interruptions and downtime.
• Use raw materials carefully and work to cut down process waste.
• Keep accurate production logs, shift summaries, and inventory consumption records.
• Implement safety practices, maintain housekeeping standards such as 5S, and ensure company policy compliance.
• Support onboarding of new team members and encourage ongoing improvement in output and quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience in supervising factory or shop-floor operations, preferably in textile manufacturing.
• Ability to lead operators and manage manpower effectively.
• Good understanding of production planning, execution, and workflow coordination.
• Working knowledge of quality control, process improvement, and waste reduction.
• Strong problem-solving ability and sound decision-making skills.
• Effective communication, time management, and coordination skills.
• Comfort handling machine and manpower coordination on the floor.
• Hands-on experience with Excel.
