Overview
Become an integral part of EY's team as an Employee Relations Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role provides a platform for HR professionals eager to specialize in employee relations and handle complex workplace scenarios while nurturing an inclusive and high-performance culture.
Positioned within the Oceania Employee Relations Centre of Excellence, the incumbent will collaborate with leaders to offer practical guidance, manage cases effectively, and deepen expertise in employment laws and workplace risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with EY's leaders to deliver pragmatic employee relations guidance across diverse workplace issues, such as performance and fitness for work.
- Assist Employee Relations Managers with multifaceted cases covering investigations, disciplinary actions, restructuring, and workplace risk.
- Engage in strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing employee relations practices and improving employee experiences throughout Oceania.
Qualifications and Experience
- Background in delivering employee relations support within HR generalist, advisory, or specialist roles.
- Robust comprehension of employment legislation and the aptitude to provide commercially viable solutions to workplace challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate trustful stakeholder relationships, influence decisions, and prioritize effectively in dynamic settings.
- Preferred: 2 to 3+ years managing employee relations cases involving performance, conduct, probation, or wellbeing matters.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills balancing employee welfare, business objectives, and compliance risks.
- Proactive approach aimed at ongoing improvements, teamwork, and professional growth.
- Capable of operating independently while contributing constructively within a collaborative team.
