Role overview
Summus is hiring a Data Analyst to join its Operations team. This role will support company growth by helping shape how the organization uses data to inform decisions, improve service delivery, and strengthen outcomes. The position partners with cross-functional teams and leadership, including C-suite stakeholders, to turn data into actionable insights.
The role is remote, with a hybrid option available for candidates based in the New York City area.
What you'll do
- Operate effectively in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial, and demanding environment.
- Support work across clinical outcomes, operational goals, marketing needs, and sales priorities.
- Build practical data solutions that help leadership monitor performance and make strategic decisions.
- Develop approaches and tools for collecting, organizing, and reporting data.
- Partner with colleagues across different functions to solve business problems collaboratively.
- Work with leadership to continuously refine the organization’s data strategy.
- Help plan and implement data approaches before new products and services are launched.
- Work with Engineering to improve the technology platform and online user experience.
- Coordinate with vendors involved in the company’s data strategy.
- Support Member Experience initiatives related to engagement and strategic account planning.
- Collaborate with Commercial, Member Experience, Client Success, and other internal teams to deliver project outcomes that support commercial success for employer and individual clients.
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience, specifically in data analytics.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and Python; experience with AI is a plus.
- Genuine interest in how data and metrics can improve clinical and administrative operations and support business growth.
- Interest in contributing to product marketing, sales, and technology initiatives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal ability.
- High emotional intelligence and comfort discussing health-related subject matter.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Open to close coaching and constructive feedback.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Healthcare experience is helpful but not required.

Additional information
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, as visa support is not available for this position. The compensation range for this role is $95,000 to $125,000, plus bonus, depending on experience.
