Role Summary
The Chief Strategy Officer will sit on the executive leadership team and own the company’s strategic direction. The position calls for strong knowledge of digital asset markets, especially derivatives, along with the ability to scale businesses, sharpen competitive positioning, and lead across functions.
Working closely with the CEO and senior leaders, this role will help spot growth opportunities, improve the business model, and ensure strategic plans translate into day-to-day execution.
Strategic Leadership
- Shape and drive the organization’s long-range roadmap across offerings, markets, and customer segments.
- Convert shifts in the digital asset environment into practical business decisions.
- Own strategic planning routines and support executive-level decision making.
Market and Competitive Intelligence
- Study cryptocurrency derivatives markets, institutional developments, and competitor activity.
- Spot opportunities in structured products, quantitative strategies, and alpha-focused approaches.
- Use data-backed analysis to influence capital allocation and resource focus.
Business Growth and Partnerships
- Lead expansion initiatives across North America and international markets.
- Identify, assess, and close strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and ecosystem collaborations.
- Assist growth and investor relations teams with institutional client acquisition efforts.
Operational Alignment
- Keep strategy aligned with product development, trading, and risk management.
- Work with leaders in research, technology, and operations to strengthen execution.
- Define KPIs and performance structures linked to strategic goals.
Corporate Development
- Review potential M&A opportunities, strategic investments, and adjacent business lines.
- Contribute to fundraising strategy, investor messaging, and long-term capital planning.
Qualifications
- At least 20 years of experience in strategy, investment management, or senior leadership roles in digital assets, hedge funds, or financial services.
- Strong command of cryptocurrency markets, with particular depth in derivatives such as options, futures, and structured products.
- A demonstrated record of building strategy, scaling businesses, and delivering results in fast-growing organizations.
- Advanced analytical and financial modeling abilities, with the skill to turn complex market information into clear plans.
- Background working with institutional audiences including family offices, high-net-worth individuals, or asset allocators.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capability.
- Entrepreneurial approach and comfort operating in a fast-moving, changing industry.
