Active Directory Engineer

Role overviewHCLTech is hiring a professional with at least L2-level practical experience in core Active Directory support for a hybrid environment. The role focuses on keeping directory services stable, handling domain controller lifecycle tasks, and supporting related infrastructure components.Key responsibilitiesManage and troubleshoot Active Directory replication issues.Carry out domain controller promotion and decommissioning tasks as needed.Support DNS and LDAP-related activities in the directory environment.Administer Group Policy Objects and related policy changes.Work on Hyper-V administration for infrastructure hosted on Hyper-V.Maintain working knowledge of Microsoft Entra Connect (Azure AD Connect) integrations.Desired technical backgroundPractical L2-level experience in core Active Directory support.Solid hands-on experience with replication, domain controllers, GPOs, DNS, and LDAP.Exposure to hybrid identity environments.Familiarity with Hyper-V-based infrastructure.Working understanding of Microsoft Entra Connect.Additional skills that will helpBasic experience with Microsoft patching activities.Exposure to Azure Arc.LocationThis is an onsite role based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.
